DISPLAY METHOD FOR BULK PURCHASED ITEMS

box of brushes

This is my table display I use at Gunshows. As you can see it takes a lot of table space. If fact, the bin trays take almost one full table.

I wanted a cost effective way to reduce my table requirements. This would help me reduce the table rent or allow me to display more items.

I looked at plastic tubes, but they are costly and they will take up a lot of storage room. My next idea was plastic bags.

labeled bags

The bags work out well since they are flat and more can be put on a display than the tubes. My first try was printing on paper and cutting the information to fit in the bag. This process took longer than I wanted to take. The brush also hid the information on the label. My next try was with printed stick on labels. This is the solution I have chosen.

Since the labels are wider than the bag, I trimed these labels to the same width as the bags. The excess label can be folded over the end of the bag. I am looking for 2" labels.

I thought of a rotating display, but these can be expensive and would limit the number of people that can look at the items. A flat display for the back of the table was my final choice.

I had an old shelf that would make a nice looking dispaly. I decided to use nails to mount the bag on since they were available and inexpensive. The nails were set in on an angle to help prevent the bags from slipping off. I predrilled the holes, a little smaller than the nail, to prevent splitting.

two displays

The above picture shows the display mounted behind the bin trays. The dispaly has the same items that are in the bulk bins. This dispaly frees up 48" of table space. I will keep my bins for storage of items for the display. As a first attempt I just "C" clamped the display to the bins.

bracket

My final solution was to attach a bracket to the display and a board. This will allow the board to be "C" clamped to the table. It will also let the display be self standing in my van.

Since I like to deal in wholesale I do not want to supply, at this time, the brushes this way. I will supply to those interested the bags and labels. I'll let you stuff the bags when you are watching reruns of "LOST" or "24 Hours".

I can supply the 2x3 bags with a hole for $2.00 / 100,part P0010 I also have 2x8 bags without a hole for $2.50/ 100, part P0011, double ended "tooth" brush, acid brushes, suction bulbs, bore lens, slotted tips…..

I will supply laser printed, non-smudging, labels for any item I sell for $0.30 / 12 or $2.00 / 100, part P0012, all the same printing.

I will have item information and my part number, but will not put my company information on it to protect your supplier. This should give you room for pricing if desired.

This would add around $0.05 / brush. Or another way of looking at it is the cost for 1000 brushes is equal to one $50.00 table rent.

This might also allow you to carry more types of brushes.
