The history of faith Associates

The company of FAITH ASSOCIATES has an interesting history.

I have always been interested in military items. In the 60's and 70's a lot of military items were sold at gun shows.
At that time I purchased many military items. My father saw the prices that people were paying for items so he decided to start selling at gun shows.

When dad moved to North Carolina he sold his Evergreen Nursery, Faith Nursery, in Illinois. The nuresey got its name because it was started on Faith.
Dad started doing gun shows as a major source of business. My two nephews were working with him.
Once again the business was started on Faith so it was named Faith Associates

I also moved to North Carolina. I was working as an Engineer and I had a young family. I did not join in the business.

The business increased in size and reached its peak during the martial arts craze. The business became Incorporated

After mom died, dad did not do as many gun shows. He worked more on mail order and Air Shows.

As time went on, my nephews operated the business, and he helped in the business as a consultant.

Finally the business was being run by one nephew.
He has a young family and obtained a full time job since it offered more security than Faith Associates.

About the same time he was thinking of leaving the business, I was caught in a downsizing, a common fate for engineers these days!
I was offered the business so I decided to leave engineering behind and take on the business full time.

The business has now become a second generation business
I plan to increase the size of Faith Associates and hope to make it a third generation business within a year by bringing my two sons into the business.

I plan to continue to offer items at a competive price. I also plan to have items in stock for timely delivery.

I will try and average at least one new item per week. So keep checking in to see what we will offer next.
